PLANZ

Visual Identity,
UI & UX Design, Web Design,

Every student knows it, the impossible balance between school and everything else. Students have a lot on their minds. On the one hand, they have classes, have to learn and do homework. On the other hand, there is the social life, their friends and family. In addition, many students still work and sport is often an important part of their routine. They all try to find a balance between these factors. However, this turns out to be more difficult than it sounds.

Starting with this design challenge, I developed a responsive web app that is available for desktop and mobile. PLANZ is a simple tool to help students organize their work and set priorities to find a balance in their daily lives.

Every student knows it, finding the balance between school, work and your personal life. Students have a lot on their minds. On the one hand, they have classes to attend and homework to do. On the other hand, they have to work to pay their expenses and would like to maintain their social life. They all try to find a balance between these factors. However, this turns out to be more difficult than it sounds.

Starting with this design challenge, I developed a responsive web app that is available for desktop and mobile. PLANZ is a simple tool to help students organize their work and set priorities to find a balance in their daily lives.

Throughout the process, I have learned to give structure and direction to the way a user interacts with the application. In doing so, I made logical and sensible choices for the app, based on design principles. As a designer, it is therefore important that you are not only able to design the front end of a web page, but also understand what happens behind the design.

First of all, I researched the visual 'language' of similar applications and chose the graphic core values to establish a coherent graphic style for PLANZ. The values that the app must radiate and the design criteria for this are visualized in a moodboard and styleguide. Before the final result, I developed a prototype by paying attention to both user interaction and graphic values.
